Large cast iron camping pot with skillet for a lid. Can be used separately as frying pan and pot or together as a camp dutch oven for cooking casseroles, stews, soups, breads and puddings. Ideal for use on open fires, fireplace tops or on gas stoves. Retains heat wonderfully to keeping cooking warm for long periods. Requires conditioning before use and to keep maintained.

This cast iron pan will require seasoning. Simply wash & dry. Then add oil and rub it into the pan on all sides and areas removing any excess but making sure all areas are well covered. Put the oiled pan in a preheated 220°C oven, and leave it there for 30 minutes. It may get a little smoky, so keep your kitchen well ventilated. It’s during this time that the oil will polymerize and form the first of several hard, plastic-like coatings you’ll be laying down.
